The hands that do dishes with this washing-up liquid will certainly need deep pockets to pay for it.
Paris-based fragrance house Diptyque has unveiled a new cleaning product, costing a cool £32 for a 500ml bottle.
And if that doesn’t clean out the household budget, there is a £12 ‘dish brush’ it can be paired with.
The detergent, scented with orange blossom, mandarin and basil, will be going head to head with market leader Fairy – famous for its ‘hands that do dishes can feel soft as your face’ slogan – which is £1 for a 433ml bottle.

Known for candles, perfumes and toiletries, Diptyque hopes its new range of ‘eco-friendly household products’ will be a hit too.
The range is labelled La Droguerie, meaning drugstore, and also includes a multi-surface cleaner for £32, as well as a 250ml bottle of leather and wood care lotion with beeswax, which retails for £24. In addition, there is a £51 ‘odour removing’ candle with basil.
As the cost of living continues to soar, many may not be able to splash out on a liquid that costs 30 times as much as the best-selling brands.
But Eduardo Valadez, director of marketing for the company, said: ‘These are products that are effective, smell great, and are good for you.’
And the firm points out that refills for the dish soap and cleaner are available for £22.
The multi-surface cleaner with vinegar – which ‘cleans and shines all washable surfaces in the home, from the kitchen to the bathroom’ – will be going up against brands like Flash and Cif, which sell similar products in supermarkets for £1 to £3.
